Katrina
What a beautiful name.
She ripped through our city
left nothing the same.
She tore through the walls
knocked down every door.
More and more houses
more things to explore.
She took what she wanted
tossed the rest where she pleased
Even after the warnings
it was still hard to believe
All the things we loved and knew
were lost and destroyed
the night Katrina came through
We finally thought our prayers had beat her
but only until we heard about Rita
